Aluminum ladder is welcomed by many craftsmen because it is of good quality and low price, while majority of ladders have a chance to be more strength. Most of aluminum ladders have hollow rungs, and we can reinforce these hollow rungs with cheaply and quickly ways. The additional strength can add many years of life to aluminum ladder.
Before reinforcing the aluminum ladder, you need to prepare something: a ruler, wooden dowels, a rubber mallet and a saw.
First, many aluminum ladders have hollow rungs. Some ladders have sundries filling the hollows, so you need to remove them.
Second, you should measure the hole's diameter and the rung's length.
Third, buy wooden dowels that are same to the hole's diameter and at least as long as rungs. If you can’t find a diameter is exactly right, you can choose a small one. Buy one dowels for each rungs.
Fourth, measure each dowel you have bought and use saw to modify them.
Fifth, keep the aluminum ladder at a using state, and then lay it on the ground, keeping a side of ladder is face up. Stick one dowel into a rung and peen it with the mallet. Do the same to other dowels and rungs.
Following the steps, the aluminum ladder’s weight will be added and so dose the strength.
